Description
NiFe Cast Iron Electrodes are graphite basic coated nickel-iron electrodes designed for welding nodular cast iron, repairing cast components and joining cast iron to steel.
- Nickel-iron alloy electrode for nodular cast iron repair
- Suitable for joining cast iron to steel and dissimilar materials
- Machinable weld deposits for post-weld finishing
- Graphite basic coating for stable arc performance
- Vacuum packed for moisture protection and storage stability
NiFe electrodes are developed for repair and maintenance welding of cast iron components where increased strength and improved compatibility with nodular cast irons are required. The nickel-iron alloy deposit provides better tolerance to dilution and thermal stress compared with pure nickel electrodes.
Typical applications include cast housings, machinery repairs, engine components, pumps, and joining cast iron to mild steel structures where machinability and crack resistance are important.
